At Al Hajiry, we view HSE as critical to our success and long-term sustainability and we are committed to the highest standards for the health and safety of our employees, customers, and contractors as well as to the protection of the environment in the communities in which we live and work.

What sets us apart is the manner in which the workforce is equipped to identify the root cause and find the most practical solution. At Al Hajiry we have adopted a well-defined HSE policy, which clearly reflects the commitment of our employees and management. To sustain this commitment, Al Hajiry manages HSE through a Corporate Integrated Management System (IMS) by setting objectives & targets annually and providing incentives to staff for achieving them. The IMS has been audited and certified by TUV to ISO 14001:2004 (Environmental Management System requirements) and OHSAS 18001:2007 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System requirements)

Audits, Inspections, HSE Management meetings, Incident Investigations, Journey Management, Fire & Electrical safety, Lifting Equipment and Operations Safety, Waste Management, Vehicle and Plant safety etc. all form part of our robust IMS system. The most important feature of the health and safety system is Hazards & effects management process (HEMP), which involves the assessment of exposures of the work force to hazards, handling of chemicals and management of the effects.

We recognize that our activities, if not handled with care, have the potential to affect the environment and we work with clients to ensure that we do not cause any environmental damage. We also recognize our role in promoting environmental responsibility with all involved in our operations. We have implemented the Environmental Aspects-Impacts Control System which helps identify those environmental aspects with significant impacts and implement mitigating measures. Our advanced blasting and painting facility in Sohar, enclosed with special exhaust and recycling system, attests our environmental commitment
